The Oscar-winning actress recently joined a lineup of celebrities visiting Adele’s Las Vegas residency before it wraps up later this month, and she appeared to choose an ideal evening for her visit.
On Friday, following Halloween, Adele took the stage in a costume inspired by Streep’s character Madeline Ashton from the 1992 film “Death Becomes Her,” featuring a blonde wig and a silver jacket.
It remains uncertain if Adele was aware that Streep would be attending the performance, which appeared to incorporate Halloween decorations. Nonetheless, their interaction during the show was remarkable.
According to videos shared online, Adele expressed her affection for Streep by saying, “I love you,” as she walked down the aisles singing her song “When We Were Young” and approached her seat.
The duo also embraced and bowed to one another during this heartwarming occasion.
The interaction with Streep occurred only a few days following an emotional meeting between Adele and Celine Dion at a recent concert.
The following day, the touching moment was highlighted when Adele expressed on her Instagram how significant it is to perform at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace, a venue initially created for Dion when she kicked off her Las Vegas residency “A New Day” more than twenty years ago.
Adele expressed her deep affection by stating, “I care for you immensely,” as she spoke directly to Dion. “No words could ever fully convey your significance to me, or how much it means for you to attend my concert, not to mention the joy of seeing you again in your home with your lovely family.”
Since its inception in January 2022, Adele’s residency shows have attracted numerous other celebrities, such as Jennifer Lopez, Hillary Clinton, and Nicole Kidman, among others.
“Weekends with Adele” is set to wrap up on November 23.
